Aurora Cannabis said Tuesday that it has resolved its patent litigation with synthetic biology company Willow Biosciences.
The Canadian cannabis company said it completed a confidential settlement which resolved a patent litigation between the two companies in Canada.
Aurora first began its patent-infringement action in July of 2021, alleging that Willow’s biosynthetic process for synthesizing cannabinoids infringed Aurora’s exclusive rights to patents co-owned by the University of Saskatchewan and the National Research Council.
No other details of the settlement were disclosed.
