I don’t use WhatsApp. What do I need to do?

You need to download the app to your phone, and then follow the instructions. There are versions for all the main systems – iPhone, Android and Windows. Please refer to WhatsApp’s privacy policy.

Can I stop the service?

Yes, while in the channel, just tap on the circle icon in the top right hand corner of your screen and select unfollow.

What about my phone number?

The WhatsApp channel is encrypted – your phone number is kept private.

I’m an FT subscriber already – should I sign up?

Absolutely, you might like the convenience. If you are an FT subscriber, you can of course read as much of our journalism as you’d like. The WhatsApp group will simply alert you to a great story that you might not otherwise have seen.
